Glass Balustrades will compliment the design of your home, create the illusion of space and embrace any view. We offer an extensive range to suit your personal style and décor. Balustrades can be applied to any situation, be it a balcony, handrail, fencing, mezzanine, landing or internal stairs.
Diamond Balustrades will custom make your balustrade using Toughened Safety Glass manufactured and installed to Australian Standards with polished edges to ensure maximum safety and durability and providing extensive wind protection.
You can choose your Glass Balustrade from a choice of powder coated aluminium or 316 Grade stainless steel posts. For those who like the look of stainless steel but not the price, Diamond Balustrades can offer a powder coated aluminium post with the look of stainless steel. This is relatively maintenance free compared to that of stainless steel which requires a lot of ongoing maintenance to keep it looking its best. Diamond Balustrades offers a wide range of powder coating colours.
Due to changes in Australian Standards balustrades are now required to have a handrail of which there are several different handrail profiles and methods to which they can be fixed including round handrails on square posts and rectangular handrails on round posts. Diamond can fabricate our posts to accommodate timber handrails if required but do not supply and install such handrails.
Glass is Toughened Safety Glass. Glass thickness is dependant on each situation and is available in clear, tint, sandblasted and sealed or acid etched.
Site Preparation:
On waterproofed compressed fibro decks that are to be tiled it is essential that the balustrade posts are fixed into position prior to waterproofing being completed (ie before tiling)
There can be exceptions and ways around this if the tiling has already been done but we cannot be held responsible for broken tiles and water damage problems arising from broken membranes.

Installation:
Once posts are installed the glass is then measured and ordered to suit. Works are generally completed as soon as we take delivery of the glass.
